Faith By Fire DAF

fire1Faith by Fire DAF (AHR 29439-07) is an exceptional filly that is the highest inspected horse that has ever gone through the AHR Inspection and Classification program, earning an incredible 83 points!

“Fire” epitomizes the type, athleticism, elegance and refinement that we strive to breed for at Genesis Farm.

“Fire” is sired by our imported, silver classified stallion, Arno van het Nieshof. Arno is one of only two AHR ‘Elite Status’ stallions in the country and the only AHR ‘SUPREME STATUS’ Stallion ever in North America! He is also a former 2-time AHR ‘National Champion Stallion’ and four-time-consecutive AHR ‘Stallion of the Year’.

Fire’s dam is the elegant and refined Afghan III NTF mare, Febe Ze NTF. Febe has produced many exceptional fillies through the years and Fire is a testament to this.

fire3Fire was shown very successfully by Genesis Farm in 2007 as a weanling, albeit she was one of the youngest foals at the shows because she was a late May foal (May 28th, 2007). Our Fire was 1st place Junior Weanling Pleasure Filly at the AHR Futurity and then she was named Junior Champion foal at the AHR Futurity as well. She was also 1st place junior weanling pleasure filly at the GLHA Futurity and then went on to become the GLHA Champion Pleasure foal.

These were some noteworthy accomplishments for a foal that was only 4 months old at the time of fall shows! Of course, winning is in Fire’s genetics. Her full sister in 2006, Forget Me Not MLF, also claimed futurity titles of her own, including 1st place in the junior weanling pleasure filly class at the GLHA futurity as well!

Fire continued her winning ways in 2008. At the AHR Futurity in September, she won 1st place in the Yearling Filly class and went on to be named ‘Champion Yearling’ at the show.

In September 2009, Fire competed at the AHR National Show in Springfield, Ohio. Fire won 1st place in the 2-year-old filly class, going on to be named “Junior National Champion Filly”. She also was a staple in our Genesis Farm 1st place National show entry in the ‘Get of Sire’ class on Arno’s behalf and then also in our winning entry in the ‘Best Three Haflingers’ class for our farm.

Ifire4n October 2009, Fire competed at the AHR Futurity in Ashland, Ohio. Fire won 1st place in the 2-year-old filly class. This 1st place finish meant that Fire has won her AHR Futurity class for three consecutive years!

In July 2010, Fire was AHR Inspected and received a record-setting 83 points! The inspectors gave her a ‘9’ for type, a ‘9’ for head, a ‘9’ for neck, a ‘9’ for hindquarters and then also a ‘9’ for overall movement. In total, this means that Fire received 5 “9’s” on her scorecard!

In September 2010 at the AHR National show, Fire was 1st place in the 3-year-old Mare halter class. Fire then was named the ‘Senior National Champion Mare’ (standing next to her half-sister, Limelight of Genesis, also sired by Arno, who was the Junior National Champion Mare). From there, Fire became the ‘Grand National Champion Mare’. In the end, she actually beat our 3-time AHR ‘National Champion Stallion’ to be named as ‘2010 National Best of Show’. Way to go, Fire!

fire5In October 2010, Fire attended the AHR Futurity. She won 1st place in her halter class and won 2nd place in the 3-year-old Pleasure driving class. Despite her limited amount of training and the fact that this was her first show under harness, she behaved wonderfully for Michele and her 2nd place finish in the class earned her the title of ‘2010 AHR Futurity Champion 3-year-old’. This claiming of this title meant that Fire has won her halter class every year at the AHR Futurity for Genesis Farm since being a weanling–that is FOUR consecutive years!–and this is really a tribute to her greatness.

In 2011, Fire started to show competitively with Michele under saddle, and since then she has been taking home her fair share of awards.

At the 2012 AHR National Show, Fire won 1st place in the ‘4 & 5-year-old Mare’ class. She went on to be named ‘Senior National Champion Mare’ and then eventually became the 2012 AHR ‘National Champion Mare’. Her barn-mate, Aura of Genesis, also sired by the great Arno, was the ‘Junior National Champion Mare’ and went on to be named ‘Reserve National Champion Mare’. It was great to see the two Arno daughters competing side-by-side as Michele handled Fire and John handled Aura. Fire eventually went on to beat out our National Champion Stallion, Niagara YES, for the honors of 2012 AHR ‘National Best of Show’. This was Fire’s second ‘NATIONAL BEST OF SHOW’ title! Wow!

At the 2012 American Warmblood Society Inspection, Fire took home the SILVER medal against all of the other breeds of horses!

Fire has the rare combination of elegance and refinement coupled with awesome athleticism that gives her powerful movement and animation. We see a bright future for this filly as a prime example of the modern haflinger!
