Febe Ze NTF (AHR 9200-97) is a beautiful and refined mare. She is sired by Afghan III NTF and out of Florella of NTF and she has been a premier broodmare for Genesis Farm.
Febe’s sire, Afghan III NTF, is known for producing mares of excellent type and refinement while passing along an almost ‘trademark-like’ beautiful head.
Febe’s dam, Florella of NTF, is sired by Mangon and out of the mare, Floxi.
Febe was acquired by Genesis Farm indirectly through the dispersal of Bob and Bea Wallace’s herd of haflingers in 2007. Bob and Bea Wallace of Meadow Lane Farm, in Hemlock, Michigan, were one of the original haflinger breeders; Bea is the author of well-known published book ‘Haflinger Horses in North America and the People Who Belong to Them’(2004).
As a weanling, Bob and Bea’s discriminating eyes could readily see Febe’s quality and her broodmare potential. They purchased her at that time directly from New Trend Farm in New York. Even at a young age, some of Febe’s highly desirable and sought-after traits, such as her beautiful head and length of neck, were apparent. She remained a steadfast part of Meadow Lane Farm’s breeding program until health concerns caused Bob and Bea to retire from the world of haflinger breeding and showing; Mint Julep MLF and Febe Ze NTF were transitioned into the broodmare herd at Genesis Farm.
In 2007, Febe gave birth to the spectacular show filly, Faith by Fire. Fire’s merits, including being the highest inspected AHR horse ever in North America (83 points!), have earned her dam much recognition. In addition, Fire also assisted her sire, Arno, in earning his AHR ‘Elite’ status, based on the total accomplishments of his offspring at AHR inspections.
